A great weekend in a lovely part of the country, the walking has sweeping views over lovely Wiltshire countryside, including White Horse Hill and the Vale of White Horse.
There are also plenty of attractions if you want to include other activities. The town of Swindon and Swindon Designer Outlet will satisfy your shopping needs. Didcot Railway Centre and Lydiard House and Park are nearby.

A Sample two day walking programme
The walk on the Saturday will be the choice of a shorter 6 miles or a longer 10 miles. We will walk around Whitehorse Hill giving sweeping views over the area including Vale of White Horse. As well as the spectacular Uffington White Horse we will see the site of Uffington Castle & Ancient Fort and Wayland's Smithy; a Neolithic long barrow and chamber tomb site, all linked by nice villages, one with a pub!
Sundays walk will be around 7 miles and will either be on Marlborough Downs from Barbery Castle Country Park: The route uses a section of The Ridgeway, an ancient route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers, another white horse hill figure and sweeping view over the Marlborough Downs. Or we could head to Savernake Forest near Marlborough for a different walk which would give a different perspective from the previous days walk.
